It’s New Year’s Eve!!
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE New Years, and I LOVE making resolutions. This is by far my favorite holiday of the whole year, and pretty much the only one I truly celebrate. I love the fresh start, feeling like I can turn over a new leaf and become the person I want to be. I love looking back at the year and reflecting on what has changed, or what I can have gratitude for.
Every year for the past 10 years, if not 15 years, I’ve had on my list to practice yoga at least 3 times a week, and this is the first year that I’m actually already doing that!!! So… keep it up!! The other things I’m already doing and want to continue are spending quality time with the kids, eating healthy (whole grains, no sugar), and exercising regularly.
This will allow me to focus on fewer goals this year (although I guess it may be a challenge to not let the others drop!) The big ones are going to be decluttering and not spending money carelessly.
So here it goes!!! Here is my list!
2015 New Year’s Resolutions:
Organization:
- Declutter (get rid of a paper bag a week for Jan-March, that’s 13 bags total, totally doable.)
- Get a good system in place for incoming mail, shoes, coats and bags (and make the kids USE this system)
Food:
- Plan menus
- Cook more
- eat vegan (strictly vegan Jan-March, see how it goes)
Finances:
- Track expenses
- pay off credit card (currently at $1,500)
- DO NOT BUY ANYTHING (non-essential) for January-March (I’m thinking of blogging about this)
Exercise:
- home practice for yoga
- practice teaching yoga
- go to the gym with kids at least twice a week (or cancel the three memberships!!)
- DANCE DANCE DANCE (I miss it)
