365 Challenge Day 262 – Yoga: Fire

Fire is probably my favorite element to bring into yoga.  Maybe because I don’t have a lot of fire naturally, and I really need to bring it to balance my constitution.

In the yoga teacher training my teachers said there are several things that bring fire to the practice.  The bandhas, using the energy locks, builds heat.  Drishti, this one pointed concentration is also an element of fire.  Ujiyii breath builds heat and fire.  And lastly, anything that builds strength.

They also mentioned personality traits you can bring to teaching yoga that were “fiery”, such as being bold and strong.
